I'm a 27 year old gamer. I try to be a God-fearing Christian to the best of my heart's ability, I was born again when I was 17, however I've lived a Christian lifestyle my entire life. I am a huge PlayStation fan, been for 17 years. I also love Nintendo, more of a love/hate relationship as of late though, so mostly the first party games from Nintendo nowadays. The last 8 years Nintendo has lost me, with the gimmicky approach and focus they've took. I still loved the majority of the first party games, such as the Mario's and Zelda's and a handful more, but I'm hugely disappointed in them in almost every other area. I've never really got into the Xbox, I bought an Xbox 360 in 2010 and played it for about 7 months. I racked up about 45 games, but it didn't really impress me and started collecting dust, so I sold it to my nephews and bought a Nintendo Wii. As much as the Wii was a disappointment to me, I still have had so much more enjoyment with it than I did with the 360. But yeah, I've been messing around with gaming for 21 years, but only really became an avid gamer for about 19 of those years.

About This Site

Christ Centric Gaming is my personal gaming website, centered around my faith and my love of gaming. The purpose of this website is to try to keep Christ at the core of this fun hobby, that is gaming. Instead of being less critical, we need to put Christ in a centric role and not pushed into the quiet corner, myself included. It's easy to just shrug off and play on, when it comes to gaming. However, we are accountable to what games we play and how certain games make us feel or react or not react. Sometimes, by not reacting to the bad content, it's us getting desensitized to the content and accepting it and promoting it with our cash and our time. I'm guilty of this, that's why I decided to make this website, to help inform and remind myself as well as any other gamer that would like a similar reminder.

I have been known to voice my dislikes and disapproval in all forms of media. Such as movies, TV shows, music, video games..etc. I also have a tendency to say what I mean and mean what I say, I'm a straight shooter.

So, If I'm tired of certain things, annoyed, offended or upset..etc, I may just say so. Although, I may just point out what bothered me in simple honesty or I'll simply say it earnestly. However, essentially it's up to you to make up your own conclusions. Same goes for myself, I will try to follow or set a good example. It's important to know your importance, we all are setting examples and we all are in this pursuit together. Let's remember to try to keep Christ at the core, not in the corner. God Bless and Happy Gaming!

Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father."

Review Score Breakdown

If you're curious to see the review breakdown on my reviews, here it is below.

10 - Masterpiece

The apex of gaming, though not flawless, this phenomenal game establishes what all games in it's chosen genre should be like. A game that exceeds expectations and is ahead of it's time, a game that is talked about years after years later, as the game that blew people's socks off. An instant classic that almost entirely delivered on all fronts and potentially didn't disappoint in any areas. A game such as this reminds us gamers why we play video games and demonstrates a near perfect endeavor from the game developers involved. A game you can feel proud to own and feel that you got your full dollars worth out of. A game you will come back to years later and enjoy just as much, if not more, the second time around.

9 to 9.9 - Incredible

Within the crowd of the best games out there, games that bring about discussions years later when the next-generation systems are around the corner. Discussions about these games being brought into the the next-generation of systems. Discussions about these games would consist about how they were among the best games available and must-buys that brought fond memories and experiences for nearly all who played them. Although these games may have had flaws, they still were incredible titles, full of enjoyment.

8 to 8.9 - Fantastic
The game that receives this rating is an overall great title, with most likely some annoyances that detract from a higher score, but doesn't particularly detract from your enjoyment in a big way and can be overlooked to a certain extent, by the gamer. The game essentially is definitely worth your time and shouldn't be overlooked or thought woefully inferior to other titles rated higher.

7 to 7.9 - Satisfying
Games that receive this rating, include problems and issues that warrant a warning for the buyer. Maybe the game lacked spirit or felt rushed and uninteresting, or became monotonous and dull. Maybe technical glitches hampered it in some way or poor game design and lousy developer choices. However the game still was fun to play and should be given a fair chance and gamers shouldn't feel scared away from the apparent enjoyment to be had, from the hindered execution of the title.

6 to 6.9 - Decent
Just okay, and no one should be okay with just okay. With the prices for games ever increasing the gamer should be delivered a game worth the bang for the buck. They shouldn't feel ripped off or mislead with the product they purchased their hard earned cash for. Now, the title may be an enjoyable experience in some sorts, nonetheless it's hard to recommend this title at the full price, look into renting it or wait for the bargain bin price or game sales.

5 to 5.9 - Passable
Borderline to bad, be careful purchasing this title, it most likely will disappoint and leave you feeling that you wasted your money. The game may revolve around a concept you are intrigued by or by a story and genre that are in low supply that you want to experience. However don't be surprised if the game doesn't deliver to your expectations and leaves you dissatisfied.

4 to 4.9 - Shoddy
Watch out, we have a stinker. This game is broken or just plain bad in every considerable area. The developer failed to grasp a firm grip on the direction of the game, and only went with a cool idea and sadly struck out with every other area that brings the gamer enjoyment. With many flaws, technical glitches and uninspired levels, characters, artwork, soundtrack or game designs.

3 to 3.9 - Poor
Cool concept and direction, just poor development and design. This game fails miserably in every conceivable painstaking place. Clearly the developer dropped the bomb on this one. Steer clear and don't waste your time and money.

2 to 2.9 - Terrible
So horrible that it hurts to even try to play. May even be impossible to stomach this game halfway, let alone all the way through. This game is not worth a hoot and a holler and if you buy this atrocity then you are as crazy as popcorn on a hot stove.

1 to 1.9 - Shameful
Wipe this crud of my shoe! What is this? This isn't considered a game, but merely a joke, a disgrace to the name of video games.
